Wizkid senior everybody – Olamide reacts to Davido’s controversial statement
Renowned YBNL boss, Olamide Adedeji, professionally known as Olamide Badoo, has hailed his colleague, Wizkid, as the ‘Greatest of all artists’.
This declaration comes in response to a tweet by Davido, the head of the DMW record label, who criticized artists that neglect to use their social media platforms to promote their music. Davido’s tweet stated, “If you’re an artist and you pretend not to post, I will aggressively promote my music like a street vendor selling pure water! 😂”
It is worth noting that Davido had previously boasted about having more followers on social media than Wizkid, Olamide, and other artists. He claimed to have a better grasp of social media, citing his passion for technology since a young age.
Davido and Wizkid have had a longstanding feud in the music industry. Although both artists have claimed to be on good terms, the rivalry shows no signs of cooling down.
In response to Davido’s controversial statement, Olamide sided with Wizkid over the 30BG (30 Billion Gang), as evidenced by his liking of a post on the microblogging platform.
The post in question read, “Wizkid surpasses everyone!! It’s been a while.” Olamide further demonstrated his support by liking a picture of Wizkid and musician Samklef, captioned as follows: “The original pioneers of the new Afrobeat sound! Pay your respects when you come across this post. Samklef x Wizkid. Do your homework, folks. Google is there to assist you. Aw! Aw!”
