Wizkid finally follows one Nigerian artiste as he hits 17M followers on Instagram
Award-winning Nigerian singer Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun, professionally known as Wizkid, has recently started following a fellow Nigerian artist as his Instagram followers reach 17 million.
It is worth noting that Wizkid caused a stir online on November 27th, 2022, after the release of his fifth studio album, “More Love Less Ego” (MLLE), when he unfollowed everyone on Instagram.
At the time of writing this report, Wizkid, who is a father of four, has only followed his colleague Naira Marley on the popular photo and video sharing app.
This recent development indicates a strong and healthy relationship between Wizkid and Naira Marley, unlike his other colleagues such as Burnaboy, Davido, and others.
Within a year, Wizkid and Naira Marley have collaborated on two songs together, including “Wow” by Wizkid featuring Skepta and Naira Marley, as well as the remix of “Abracadabra” by Rexxie featuring Naira Marley, Wizkid, and Skiibii.
Currently, Wizkid and Tiwa Savage both have 17 million followers on Instagram, trailing behind their colleagues Yemi Alade, who has 17.4 million followers, and Davido, who has 27.2 million followers.
