Excitement fills the air as Lagos, Nigeria embraces the arrival of 3D digital billboards for advertising purposes.

Billboard advertising involves the utilization of large-scale digital or print advertisements to promote a company, brand, product, service, or campaign. These advertisements are strategically placed in high-traffic areas to capture the attention of both drivers and pedestrians. Billboard marketing serves as an effective method to enhance brand visibility.

In Nigeria, offline marketing through billboards has been a common practice, supporting social media, Facebook, Google AdWords, internet marketing, search engine optimization (SEO), digital marketing, and mobile marketing. However, the introduction of 3D digital billboards is a novel concept to the Nigerian advertising landscape.

Traditionally, 3D billboards have been predominantly featured in movies from foreign countries such as Japan, China, Taiwan, the United States, Dubai, Russia, the United Kingdom, and other developed nations. These billboards employ “Naked eye” 3D image technology to create an optical illusion for viewers. The subject portrayed on the billboard appears to project outward, giving the viewer a sensation of the subject coming out of the screen.
