Thierry Henry Asks Burna boy to Choose Between Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu
Burna Boy provided a brilliant response when faced with the “toughest” question of his life during the UEFA Champions League final on Saturday.
The Nigerian singer delivered an electrifying performance during the opening ceremony at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul.
Following the game, as Manchester City celebrated their victory, Burna Boy engaged in a conversation with TV presenters and pundits, including Arsenal legend Thierry Henry, Peter Schmeichel, Jamie Carragher, and Micah Richards.
During the interview, Thierry Henry, who played alongside Kanu Nwankwo, posed a challenging question to Burna Boy: to choose between Nigerian superstars Jay Jay Okocha and Kanu Nwankwo.
Both Henry and Kanu were part of the renowned Arsenal “invincibles” squad that triumphed in the English Premier League during the 2003/2004 season, as reported by Genius.
The question appeared to catch Burna Boy off guard, but he responded brilliantly, objecting to giving a direct answer.
“Don’t do this to me…don’t do this to me. Ahh… I can’t do this. I can’t do this. This is treachery. This is like treason. You know how I feel, but you know.”
Meanwhile, Burna Boy performed just before the kick-off of the encounter inside the Ataturk Stadium, entertaining 75,000 audiences and over 400million viewers around the world, BBC reports.
He delivered his famous track ‘It’s Plenty’ to the delight of football fans at the Ataturk Stadium in Istanbul and around the world.
