Drake, Dremo, Sanwo-Olu, Tinubu, Spyro and Osinbajo show support as Hilda Baci cooks over 110 meals in 70 hours (Video)

 

Nigeria chef Hilda Baci is one of the trending conversations online as she achieves significant milestones with over 110 meals cooked in her journey to break the Guinness World Record for the longest individual cooking marathon.

At present, the 27-year-old has been cooking non-stop for over 70  hours, with some hours left to surpass the existing record of 87 hours, 45 minutes set by Chef Lata London in Rewa, India in 2019.

Hilda has prepared more than 110 meals and served over 2,795 individuals thus far. Despite her evident exhaustion from standing on her feet for over three days, Hilda Baci maintained the standard of excellence that her brand is known for and is not compromising on quality.

Recently, governor Sanwo-Olu drops by to witness the Cook-A-Thon aimed at breaking the Guinness World Records for the longest cooking time by the famous chef, Hilda Baci.

In a statement via Instagram, Sanwo-olu commended the chef while wishing her the best as she brings the title home.

“I showed up to support Chef Hilda Baci, in her quest to break the Guinness World Record @GWR for the longest time spent cooking by an individual. 

Her dedication, passion for cooking as well as her desire to put our rich culture on the map by not only exhibiting our food but also the resilience, determination, energy and team spirit that has come to be known as the spirit of Lagos and indeed Nigeria is truly remarkable.

We are proud to have Hilda embarking on this journey in our state. I will continue to follow the updates and look forward to the final declaration,” Sanwo-olu wrote.

The President-elect of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, showers his support for the determined chef, Hilda Baci who hails from Akwa Ibom state on her quest to break the Guinness World Records.

During her live streaming session on the image-sharing platform, Instagram, the APC party leader, Bola Tinubu joined in to support Hilda Baci in her quest.

Employing the trending slang IDAN which means ‘magic or charming’, Tinubu informed the chef of having his full support.

“IDAN doesn’t break, she breaks records. We are rooting for you Hilda,” he wrote.
