Burnaboy was Davido’s video vixen in 2012 – Fan applauds Davido over ‘New Cat’ comment (Video)
A dedicated fan of Afrobeats superstar Davido has praised him for referring to Grammy winner Burnaboy as a ‘novice.’
Recently, Davido made a comment describing Burnaboy, who claims to be the African Giant, as a “rookie” in the music industry.
This statement has generated discussions on social media. While some people disagreed with Davido’s comment, others commended him and presented evidence to support the notion that Burna Boy is relatively new to the music scene.
One of the fans of Davido, known for his hit track “Unavailable,” shared one of Davido’s popular songs titled “Dami Duro,” which was released in 2012. The fan pointed out that Davido has been in the music industry for a long time, whereas Burna Boy was merely a video extra in Davido’s music videos.
The fan tweeted, “Davido is absolutely correct in stating that Burna is a newcomer. Even Kizz Daniel has released more hit songs than Burna. If Burna doesn’t watch out, Rema might surpass him. Here’s Burna Boy in Davido’s ‘Dami Duro’ video as an extra in 2012 and also in Cynthia Mogan’s ‘Simatiniya’ video in 2017.”
